MINISTER OF MUSIC

MARK GROVES

Mark Groves has been serving as Minister of Music since October 3,1999. Mark grew up in Blytheville, Arkansas, where he was active in church, local and state musical organizations. His church, First Baptist, and personal mentors were influences upon pursuing church music. After college, Mark studied at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, and graduated with a Master of Music in Church Music Education. He served on the music staffs of Immanuel Baptist, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Wilshire Baptist, Dallas, Texas, during these formative years. Mark came to FBC, Jonesboro, from Indian Springs First Baptist, Birmingham, Alabama, where he served as Minister of Music for three years.
