My name is Kristie Stokes, and it is a joy to join together with the people of First Baptist Church to minister and serve children. I was a member of FBC Jonesboro during my college years at Arkansas State University. I am a 1997 ASU graduate with a degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations. While attending ASU, I met my husband Russell (1996 ASU graduate).

After graduation we moved to Fort Worth, Texas so I could continue to prepare for ministry at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. I graduated from SWBTS in 2000 with a Master of Divinity degree. I have had the wonderful blessing of serving for six years with the Baptist General Convention of Texas as a Baptist Student Ministry Director. My campuses have included Hardin-Simmons University, Navarro College, Hill College and Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Russell and I are excited to return to Jonesboro and our FBC family, along with our son Jackson, who was born in 2002. It is a joy to serve the children of our church. At FBC we truly believe that children are a gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3).
