MEET OUR ADMINISTRATOR
ROSS BURTON
Ross Burton was born in 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, and went to school there, graduating from Southwest High School in 1974. He attended Southwest Baptist College (now University) in Bolivar, Missouri, graduating with a B.A. in Religious Education in 1978. He then attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, graduating with a Master of Religious Education in 1980.
After seminary, he returned to Bolivar, Missouri and served on the staff of First Baptist Church from 1980 until 1984. He met his wife, Jane, while in Bolivar, and they were married there in 1982.
From 1984 until 2000, he was on staff at Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. While in Little Rock, his two daughters were born; Lisa in 1985 and Anna Beth in 1988.
He joined the staff of First Baptist Church of Jonesboro in February of 2000 as Minister of Administration.
He seeks to support all of the ministries of First Baptist Church through proper stewardship of the resources God has given us to accomplish His work through local, state, national, and global missions efforts.
